Neglected as a child by his drug addict mother, T.J. was full of rage, but now as a senior in high school he's pretty much overcome all that with the help of a good therapist and his loving, ex-hippie adoptive parents. However, T.J. is sick of seeing how football star Mike Barbour treats brain damaged Chris Coughlin for wearing his dead brother's letter jacket, so he comes up with a plan. Start a team with all the outsiders and misfits, even if there's no regulation-sized pool and none of them can swim. The team, and especially, the bus they ride to meets becomes a place where these school outcasts can find true acceptance and friendship they've never had before. |
